Kids Director

 

Steven started attending Bible Baptist Church while he was a teenager and became heavily involved in the youth group. He accepted Christ as his Savior at the age of 13 and soon after began serving in the kid’s ministry working in various capacities. He accepted the call to ministry and surrendered while at church camp in 2008. Steven began working even more in the kid’s ministry at our church then, helping the kid’s leader more directly. In November 2015, Steven began serving as the kid’s ministry director.

 

Steven was born and raised in Mount Vernon and has lived here most of his life. He graduated from Eastern Kentucky University in 2011 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education. Steven has been teaching elementary school since 2011 and currently teaches at Hazel Green Elementary in Laurel County. Steven loves working with kids and seeing them learn about Jesus. When not spending time at church, Steven enjoys working with many student activities at school including coaching academic team and also spending time with family.

 

Steven’s favorite verse is Ephesians 2:10 “For we are God’s workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works which God has prepared in advance for us to do.”
